In November 2006, Adobe released the Adobe License Manager, with the goal to make system administration easier. However with many IT departments stretched to their ends, the Adobe program created, according to administrators, more problems than it solved.
In March 2007, Adobe announced that it was halting the distribution of the program due to the strain it was putting on administrators.
