The Apache Ambari project intends to simplify the management of Apache Hadoop clusters using a web UI. It also integrates with other existing applications using Ambari REST APIs.[3]

What Does Apache Ambari Do[edit]

Ambari provides a dashboard for monitoring the health and status of the Hadoop cluster making it easier to manage. Ambari leverages the Ambari Metrics System for metrics collection. Ambari leverages the Ambari Alert Framework for system alerting and will notify you when your attention is needed.[citation needed]
