The European Research Council grants (named "ERC grant" or simply "ERC") are highly prestigious grants awarded by the European Research Council every year, to top researchers worldwide doing frontier research, of any age and any field, willing to research in the European Union. They are the largest personal research grants of the European Union, with an average budget size of 2M€.
