By-election 2017[edit]
Following the decision given by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from public office, a bye-election was triggered in his NA-120 constituency. The by-election took place on 17 September 2017. Kulsoom Nawaz won this seat with 61,745 votes.[3]

Nawaz Sharif won the elections by securing 179,310 votes against PTI backed Independent candidate Yasmin Rashid who secured 104,485 votes. General elections were held on 8 February 2024 and Nawaz Sharif emerged victorious. His contender, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, an independent candidate backed by PTI, challenged his victory in high court, Lahore.
