Angelique Coetzee is a South African doctor who practices as a general practitioner[1] in Pretoria. She is currently chairperson of the South African Medical Association.[2] (a non-profit organization for medical practitioners).[3] In November 2021, Coetzee was the first [dubious ] physician to raise alarm of a possible new variant due to the different clinical symptoms experienced by patients SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant of Covid-19.[4] She reported finding that patients with the Omicron variant generally had mild symptoms.[5]
