Phantom is an upcoming musical film that reimagines Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera in a modern New Orleans setting. The film was written as a spec script by John Fusco.
Production[edit]
In December 2021, Universal Pictures announced that it was developing a modern reimagining of The Phantom of the Opera after acquiring a spec script titled Phantom written by John Fusco. It is a modern movie musical set in New Orleans, and it would be produced by Harvey Mason Jr., John Legend, and Mike Jackson.[1]
