Roger V. Gonzalez (born in El Paso, TX) is the Mike Loya Endowed Chair in Engineering and Chair and Professor of the Engineering Education and Leadership Department at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He is a professional engineer in the State of Texas.[1][failed verification]
Education[edit]
Gonzales earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1986 from UTEP and M.S. in 1990 in Biomedical Engineering and Ph.D. in 1994 in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.[2][failed verification] In 1989, he served as a Research Assistant & NASA-JSC Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin while pursuing his Ph.D.[3][failed verification] Gonzalez completed post-doctorate fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Northwestern Medical School.[4] During his Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program at Northwestern Medical School, he was awarded a National Institutes of Health National Research Service Award in musculoskeletal biomechanics and neuromuscular control.[citation needed]

Gonzalez was the President and CEO of LIMBS International until 2018.[citation needed] From 2001 to 2012, he was the Inaugural Program Director of Biomedical Engineering at LeTourneau University.[citation needed] In July 2012, he became a Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at UTEP.[citation needed]
