Stephen Chad Meredith is an American lawyer and Solicitor General of Kentucky.

Biography[edit]

Meredith received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, and a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law. After law school, Meredith served as a law clerk to Judge John M. Rogers of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Judge Amul Thapar, then of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. He then worked at Frost Brown Todd LLC in Louisville and Ransdell & Roach PLLC in Lexington. From 2015–2019, he served as chief deputy general counsel to Governor of Kentucky Matt Bevin. He was appointed Solicitor General of Kentucky in 2019.[1]
