William R. Lipman (1894-1951)[citation needed] was a writer in the United States. He was born in New York City. He died in Los Angeles.

He adapted stories for Paramount films.[1] Several screen plays he worked on were adaptations of plays. He worked with Horace McCoy writing for crime films.[2]

He wrote the novel Yonder Grow the Daisies which was adapted into the film Double Cross Roads.[3]
