Originally published with a copyright notice of 1934, this November 29 issue of the “Varsity News” for the University of Pittsburgh vs. Carnegie Tech football game would have to be renewed in 1962. [1] The search of the Renewals for Books and Periodicals for 1961, 1962 and 1963 show no renewal entries for Varsity News by the Director of Publication, D. W. Scott, editor Frank Carver, editor Max E. Hannum, business manager M. E. Jones or the University of Pittsburgh or Carnegie Institute of Technology. The copyright of the yearbook was not renewed and therefore it is in the public domain according to the criteria.
