| Description |
中文（臺灣）：馬公城隍廟始建於1777年（清乾隆四十二年）；因固有之澎湖廳城隍（今文澳城隍廟）廟廳狹小，由當時澎湖海防糧補通判謝維祺倡議另建，獲台灣知府蔣元樞鼎力支持，於今馬公市北、南澳館東興建媽宮城隍廟，1779年（清康熙四十四年）完工。1885年（清光緒十一年）因中法戰爭，法軍佔領澎湖，媽宮城隍被燒毀；1886年由通判程邦基在今馬公市重慶里重建。其後在1889年（清光緒十五年），澎湖廳署遷移至媽宮，媽宮城隍廟的官祀地位於焉鞏固。
