Description
English: Col. George K. McGunnegle temporarily commanded the US Army, Pacific (then named Department of Hawaii) from 5 December 1912 to 14 February 1913. Born in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1854, he came from a military family. His father, Lt. Commander Wilson McGunnegle, commanded the ironclad gunboat, USS St. Louis, during the Civil War. His grandfather, also George K. McGunnegle, served in the Missouri House of Representatives.
