English: Miniature of the Tree of Love (f. 8 of Yates Thompson 31, 14th C; 365 x 250 mm) dominated by allegorical figure of Amors Generals, in Matfré Ermengau of Béziers's "Breviari d'Amour" Origin: Catalonia, Spain Bequeathed to the British Museum in 1941 by Mrs Henry Yates Thompson (provenance: Joseph Alphonse de Valbelle, bishop of St Omer, 1727-1754, bequeathed to his seminary whose possessions were dispersed at the Revolution)
