This biology image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “1756-8935-5-4-3-l.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Summary

Description
English: Mammalian double-strand break (DSB) repair.

Non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) and homologous recombination (HR) in mammals during DNA double-strand break.

Figure from article Hannes Lans, Jurgen A. Marteijn & Wim Vermeulen (2012). "ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling in the DNA-damage response". Epigenetics & chromatin 5: 4. DOI:10.1186/1756-8935-5-4. PMID 22289628.
