Summary

Description
English: The connections on auto-fitted Great Western Railway 1400 Class 2-4-0T steam locomotive number 1466, preserved at the Didcot Railway Centre, England. The large hook on the left of the picture is the main coupling that conveys pulling forces through the train - this can be found on most rolling stock in England at the time this locomotive was built. To the left of this is an electrical connector; below and to the right is the socket of the mechanical connector which carried the movements of the lever in the driver's cab of a coupled autocoach to the regulator on the locomotive. The lever is an isolator for the steam heat connector which is out of the picture.
