Description
English: Still from the American fantasy film A Daughter of the Gods (1916) with Annette Kellerman, on page 136 of the July 1916 Photoplay. Kellerman in the opening scene is in a huge broken egg with nude children blowing horns and nymphs in the ocean. The opening scene of the film was claimed to be a composite of Cabanel's The Birth of Venus and Noël-Nicolas Coypel's Venus Frolicking in the Sea with Nymphs.
