Description
English: A Pullman car at Nuneaton station The "Pullman" name, traditionally associated with long-distance trains of luxurious quality, was revived by British Rail in the 1980s for its London (Euston) to Manchester service, as part of the "Inter-City" brand. All the new Pullman cars were named after historical figures associated with Manchester. This is car no. 11081, "Elizabeth Gaskell" (whose novels were set around Manchester).
