Other. The image is used for identification in the context of critical commentary of the work for which it serves as screenshot. It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone. It is used to illustrate some of the game mechanics as discussed in the article. The image shows how combat looks in the game, depicting a Spartan force (red) fighting a Persian force (blue). The Spartan soldiers are glowing, indicating that a spell has been cast on them by the mystery (who is the currently selected character in the HUD); Persian war elephants are also visible, one of which is carrying four Persians, the other of which is without riders, and therefore available for the Spartans to commandeer. The image highlights these gameplay aspects in a way the article text itself could not describe as intricately, and thus enhances the reader's understanding of the prose. Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original artwork, namely the creator providing graphic design services to relevant concerns and video game marketing to the public. |
