Summary

Description
English: Ankylosaurus is a robustly built, heavily armored ornithischian dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of North America. It is among the the largest known ankylosaurids, with estimates of up to 8 m in length and weighing between 5 and 8 t. Ankylosaurus was a quadrupedal herbivore with a broad body and a low skull. The head had two rearward pointing horns, and the entire length of its body was covered in a heavy armor of osteoderms. In addition to this, Ankylosaurus had a large club on the end of its tail, used for defense against predators, as well as competition between individuals of the same species.
