Description
English: Like the <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/cogdog/2383569047/">walls for my vegetable garden</a> (seen in the back right), I spent the afternoon on another yard project using just available materials.

This is a new bin for compost- the posts were 2x4s removed from a remodel project at my old home (quickly covered with waterproofing), and the chicken waore was scavenged from another area that I am not gardening (gardens outside our chain link fence are susceptible to Javelina invasions. The wire fencing was ames, actually about 4 different pieces connected together.
I thought I had a bag of concrete to set the posts, but there wa sonly enough to do half of one hole, so the rest of the posts are just buried as far down as I could dig-- not easy given how many rocks are just below the surface, and then burying the holes with the hard dirt that dries out in the sun to almost concrete.
The bottom of the pile is below surface, and the firstlayers included some chopped up removed prickly pear cactus that I did not want around (they got messy and are not optimal candidates up here). Am curious to see how the pads de-compose, will find out in maybe 6 months? A year?

Working with the hands is very satisfying. I don't give a SHIFT about twitter or ....
