Description
English: Design for the Argonne Cross, approved by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts in 1921. The cross' design was submitted by the American Women's Legion, a patriotic women's group. The simple memorial was erected in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia, in 1923.
