Originally published with a copyright notice of 1933, this November 11 issue of Varsity News for the Pitt versus Duquesne football game would have to be renewed in 1961. [1] The search of the Renewals for Books and Periodicals for 1960, 1961 and 1962 show no renewal entries for Varsity News by the Director of Publication, D. W. Scott, editor Frank Carver, editor Max E. Hannum or the University of Pittsburgh. The copyright of the yearbook was not renewed and therefore it is in the public domain according to the criteria.
