Summary

Description
English: Bangor bound train at Crawfordsburn station - 1983
One of Northern Ireland Railways' 80-class DEMUs calls at Crawfordsburn with the 13.45 passenger service from Belfast (Central) to Bangor. Opened by the UTA in 1965, Crawfordsburn consisted of little more than two wooden platforms. Closed in 1997, it disappeared during line renewal in 2002. The graffiti-covered station nameboard, which was a dark blue, dated from the NIR era. Note replacement of the stone footbridge seen in J4681 : MED approaching Crawfordsburn station - 1975.
