Belhouse, Aveley, Essex, seat of Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 17th Baron Dacre (1717–1786), engraving by "B. Green". The mansion of Belhus/Belhouse/Bellhouse was demolished post WW II. He was the son of Anne Lennard, suo jure 16th Baroness Dacre, by her first husband Richard Barrett Lennard, son of Dacre Barrett Lennard (1650-1724) of Belhouse/Belhus (mural monument in Aveley Church, son of Richard Barrett and Anne Loftus) by his first wife Lady Jane Chichester, a daughter of Arthur Chichester, 2nd Earl of Donegall. He married Anna Maria Pratt, a daughter of Sir John Pratt (1657–1725), Lord Chief Justice, and a sister of w:Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden (1714-1794). He had one daughter, Anne Barbara Barrett-Lennard, who died aged 10, and was succeeded by his nephew Trevor Charles Roper, 18th Baron Dacre (1745–1794).
