English: The Bell 207 Sioux Scout was a modified Bell 47 developed as a demonstrator for the Bell D-255 gunship design. It had a new forward fuselage with tandem cockpit and a chin-mounted turret, with Bell 47G-3 dynamic parts fitted to the center and rear fuselage of a Bell 47J. Various cowlings and wings were tested.
The crew consisted of a pilot in the rear seat and a gunner in front, with both having flight controls.
