DescriptionBiblioteca ‘Dipòsit de les Aigües’ Barcelona.jpg
English: Construction of Diposit de les Aigues screened at the 1874 Josep Fontserè foreman, manager of the entire environment of the old military citadel. A then young student of architecture, Antoni Gaudí i Cornet, made the calculation of static reservoir assembly and support elements. It concebió as a traditional structure and technique-those moments in modern-pillar casting was discarded because of the enormous burdens to be borne by the reservoir and its high altitude. The building dates from 1876, but it was not until 1880 when it opened as the water tank, with the function of regulating the flow of water from the waterfall of Ciutadella Park and watering their gardens.
