English: Electron microscopic image of novel Thogotovirus isolate, Bourbon virus. Thin-section specimen fixed in 2.5% glutaraldehyde shows numerous extracellular virions with slices through strands of viral nucleocapsids. Arrows indicate virus particles that have been endocytosed.
