Summary

Description
English: Bridge No 77 at Fazeley Junction, Staffordshire This where the canal from Coventry originally terminated because the Coventry Canal Company ran out of money. Their planned route north-west to Whittington was built by the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal Company (bridges are named, not numbered). The last six miles to Fradley Junction were built by the Grand Trunk Canal Company, who later sold it back to the Coventry Canal Company, who then numbered the bridges from Whittington to Fradley. Therefore, Bridge No 78 is nearly six miles away to the north-west. Confused?
