For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Kriegsschiffe werden zu Passagierdampfer:
Vier ehemalige deutsche Minensuchboote wurden von der Kieler Reederei Paulsen & Ivers angekauft, um nach dem Umbau als Passagierdampfer in den Kiel-Korsör Verkehr eingestellt zu werden. Beim Umbau werden die Maschinen durch ehemalige Räumboot-Motoren ersetzt. Unser Bild zeigt die M-Boote an der Blücherbrücke in Kiel. Rechts das alte Segelvollschiff "Winterhude", das einer finnischen Reederei gehört und in den letzten Jahren als Wohnschiff für Seeleute diente. 3-2-49 Illus-dpd |
