Zentralbild Funck 25.9.1955 Ro-Eg. Radrennbahn Weissensee der Öffentlichkeit übergeben Der Stellvertreter des Oberbürgermeisters, Herbert Fechner übergab am 25.9.1955 den Radsportlern Berlins die Radrennbahn Weissensee. Mehr als 6000 Aufbauhelfer haben mitgeholfen in knapp 12 Monaten diese Sportlerstätte zu schaffen. Mit der DDR-Bestenermittlung der Jugend im Zweier-Mannschaftsfahren über eine Stunde begann das sportliche Leben auf der neuen Bahn.
