English: Burton Common, tumulus The locations of 2 tumuli would not be apparent to walkers unless they looked at Magic (http://www.magic.gov.uk/website/magic/viewer.htm?startTopic=magadminareas&sqgridref=SZ1995 ) which confirms them; this is the southerly one. As the common doesn't seem to be grazed any longer, this tumulus has presumably become overgrown with gorse, as has the northerly one. |
