Summary

Description
English: Graph depicting the rate of evolution of CCDC188 in comparison to fibrinogen (fast evolving protein) and cytochrome C (slow evolving protein). Image shows CCDC188 initially evolving quickly in marsupials and monotremes (yellow line) and then slowing to a rate intermediate of fibrinogen and cytochrome C in placentals after evolving the basic leucine zipper. Yellow line shows approximate date when CCDC188 paralog first appears.
