Español: Calzado típico utilizado en el campo español y sobre todo en las monterías españolas tradicionales. En la foto se puede apreciar: a la izquierda, unas botas de caña alta llamadas "Monteras" o "botas de campo españolas" y a la derecha, un par de zapatos de cuero de ternera engrasados como alternativa a la bota. Ambos calzados son típicos de las monterías tradicionales españolas, y su origen se remonta a los vaqueros del sur de España. Nótese la suela de montaña en ambos calzados, indispensable para el campo. En la actualidad se fabrican botas "Monteras" con suela lisa para la práctica de la equitación también. Las "Monteras" se caracterizan por su piel de ternera engrasada y un fleco que cuelga o bien en lo alto de la bota o a media altura, además de por la suela de montaña. Ambos son calzados típicamente españoles pero también son exportados al resto de Europa. |
