of South Ninth Street Business Men's Association In the Court of Common Pleas No. 4, for the County of Philadelphia, December Term, 1915. No. 1184. To the Honorable the Judges of the said Court. Agreeably to the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, entitled 'An Act to provide for the Incorporation and Regalation of certain Corporations', approved the twenty-ninth day of April, A. D. 1874, and the several supplements thereto, Be it Known that the subscribers hereto, three of whom are citizens of the United States, and of the State of Pennsylvania, having with others associated themselves together for the purposes, and upon the terms, and by the name hereinafter set forth, and desiring to be duly incorporated according to law, do to that end, hereby declare, set forth and certify the following:

1. The name of this Corporation shall be "South Ninth Street Business Men's Association."

2. The purpose for which this Corporation is formed is to promote the commercial development of Ninth Street between Catharine and Federal Streets, and of the streets which traverse Ninth Street between Catharine and Federal Streets as far East as Eighth Street and as far West as Tenth Street, in the City of Philadelphia, by measure tending to improve the cleanliness, illumination, paving and police protection along said Ninth Street and the streets traversing it as aforesaid.

3. The business of this Corporation shall be transacted in the City of Philadelphia.

4. The Corporation shall have perpetual succession by its corporate name.

5. The names and residences of the subscribers are as follows: Paul A. Tranchitella, 940 Kimball St., Phila. Achille D'Orazio, 1020 S. 9th St., Phila. Charles G. A. Baldi, Jr, 925 S. 8th St., Phila. Giovanni DiSilvestro, 1019 S. 9th St., Phila. Luigi Fante, 1006 S. 9th St., Phila. Pasquale Ingenito, 820 Christian St., Phila.

6. The business of the Corporation is to be managed and transacted by the following officers, who are to be chosen annually: a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Secretary and a Board of Directors, which shall consist of the foregoing officers and five other members. The names and residences of the officers chosen for the first year are as follows: Pres. Angelo Campo, 944 S. 9th St., Phila. V. Pres. Achille D'Orazio, 1020 S. 9th St., Phila. Luigi Fante, 1006 S. 9th St., Phila. Charles C. A. Baldi, Jr., 928 S. 8th St., Phila. Pasquale Ingenito, 820 Christian St., Phila.

7. The Corporation shall have no capital stock. Fees for membership and monthly dues from members may be assessed as the corporation, by its By-Laws, may provide, which fees and dues shall be applied to promoting the purposes for which the Corporation is formed.

8. The yearly income of said Corporation, other than that derived from real estate, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty thousand Dollars.

9. The Constitution and By-Laws of this Corporation shall be deemed, and taken to be its Laws, and shall be consistent with this Charter, the Constitution and Laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and of the United States of America.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania } County of Philadelphia } S S : Before me, the subscriber, a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, residing in the City of Philadelphia, personally appeared Paul A. Tranchitella, Giovanni DiSilvestro, Achille D'Orazio, Luigi Fante, Charles C. A. Baldi, Jr., Pasquale Ingenito, the subscribers to the above and foregoing certificate of incorporation of the "South Ninth Street Business Men's Association," who, in due form of law, acknowledged the same to be their act and deed, and they desire that the same be recorded as such according to law. Witness my hand and seal this 10th day of December A. D. 1915. [signed Joseph J. Dudley] Notary Public Commission expires Mch. 25, 1912.

DECREE And now, to wit, this Fourteenth day of April A. D. 1916, the foregoing Charter and Certificate of Incorporation having been duly acknowledged according to law, and having been presented to me, the undersigned, a Law Judge of the said County, accompanied by due proof of publication of the notice of said application as required by the Act of Assembly and rules of this Court in such cases made and provided; I certify that I have perused and examined the said Charter, and find the same to be in proper form and within the purposes named in the Act to provide for the Incorporation and Regalation of certain Corporations, and the supplements thereto, and the same appearing to be lawful and not injurious to the Community, I do hereby, on motion of William A. S. Lapentina, Esquire, on behalf of the Petitioners, order and decree that the said Charter be and is hereby approved and upon the recording of the said Charter, and this decree of order, the subscribers thereto and their associates shall be a Corporation by the name of "South Ninth Street Business Men's Association," for the purposes and upon the terms therein set forth.
