English: of John Hampden (c.1594-1643), of Hampden House, Great Hampden in Buckinghamshire, MP, one of the Five Members whose attempted unconstitutional arrest by King Charles I in the House of Commons in 1642 sparked the Civil War. Sir John Hobart, 3rd Baronet married his daughter Mary Hampden.
