English: Coronation Carpet. One of seven Persian carpets used at the coronations of Danish monarchs. THe main carpet was by the Dutch East India Company to the Danish queen Sophie Amalie in 1666.[1] It belongs to the Danish crown and remains in a perfect state of preservation, having been used only at coronations, beginning with that of Frederick IV in 1700. 371 x 521 cm.
