Object history
Deutsch: Die Stege gehören zum Familienwappen der altmärkischen Familie von Steglitz. Der Kopf des Reichsadlers hingegen wurde zu Ehren des Kaisers Wilhelm I. hinzugefügt, auf dessen Erlass hin das Wappen verliehen wurde. Dem Steglitzer Wappen wurde als Bezirkswappen 1956 die Mauerkrone hinzugefügt, sonst blieb es unverändert.
