Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen mit der Symbolfigur der Gerechtigkeit ist seit dem Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts, in den Siegeln der Stadt seit dem 19. Jahrhundert nachzuweisen. Zuvor war der heilige Laurentius im Stadtsiegel abgebildet worden. Der Wechsel des Siegelbildes war möglicherweise eine Folge der Reformation. Die Festlegung der Wappen- und Flaggenfarben erfolgte 1956. Sie wurde im selben Jahre vom Innenministerium bestätigt.
