Description
English: Caption: "Two Happy Hearts Are United by Radio!: At the left, Miss Mable Brady, the bride; at the right, John H. Stone, the groom. They were married by radio at different stations in Dallas, Texas. The minister who performed the ceremony was at a third station. The marriage vows were spoken by the minister and repeated by the marital pair by radio." The wedding took place on June 29, 1922. The three participating Dallas radio stations were: WFAA, A. H. Belo & Company-Dallas Morning News (minister Rev. Thomas H. Harper); WRR, City of Dallas (groom John Henry Stone); and WDAO, Automotive Electric Company (bride Mabel Inez Brady)
