Nederlands: De voorlezer. Interieur waarin een man voorovergebogen leest uit een klein boek. Hij leunt aan een tafel waaraan een jonge vrouw bezig was met kantklossen. Zij lacht naar de man en houdt een roemer met wijn in haar hand. Aan het plafond hangt een vogelkooi, tegen de wand een wandkaart aan stokken.
