Summary[edit]

Dick Tracy uses his famous 2-Way Wrist Radio in this panel from a 1952 strip. Note the callout indicating its presence on Tracy's wrist; captions such as these, explicitly pointing out something important to the plot, are a signature and often-parodied element of Chester Gould's cartooning style.

Fair Use Rationale for article Dick Tracy[edit]

Given the iconic nature of the device being depicted and its connection to the Dick Tracy comic strip, a single panel showing the character using it appears called for. The panel is scanned at a slightly higher resolution than may be considered normal, but this is only done to ensure readability of the callout.
