Description
English: No. 168, "Die güld'ne Sonne" in Sonntags-Schul-Harfe ("Pilger"- Buchhandlung (A. Bendel), Reading, Penn., 1878). The four-part setting is by Johann Georg Ebeling, setting the first two stanzas of Paul Gerhardt's hymn "Die güldne Sonne voll Freud und Wonne". This hymn was first published in 1666, with Ebeling's setting.
