Description
Discophoros (athlete holding a discus). Pentelic marble, Roman copy from the 1st–2nd century AD after an early 4th century BC original by Naukydes. The antique head does not belong to the statue; the right arm, most of the left arm, of the legs and of the base are modern restorations.
