Summary

Description
English: A view over the island of Çacotoraa, drawn in 1541 by the Portuguese nobleman Dom João de Castro as part of a work dubbed Roteiro do Mar Roxo (Routemap of the Purple Sea), in which were detailed geographical and hydrographical information of the coasts of Arabia and the Red Sea, then called the Purple Sea - Mar Roxo. Made as part of the Portuguese military expedition to the Suez, under the governor of India Estevão da Gama, in 1541.
