Description On August 18-23, Dr. Janet Steele, a journalism professor at The George Washington University, shared her expertise with Indonesian reporters during a three-day workshop and a series of lectures. The PAS Media Program invited Dr. Steele to discuss the challenges journalists face in the digital age. Her two lectures at @america focused on reporting and writing for Internet-savvy audiences. In the workshop, participants discussed ways to enhance their journalistic writing. A digital video conference broadcast from the U.S. Embassy allowed participants in Surabaya and Medan to join the discussion. [U.S. State Dept.]
