Summary

Description
English: View SSE, towards Hartlepool along the ex-NER Durham Coast railway line (Newcastle to Middlesbrough via, Sunderland, West Hartlepool, Stockton, Thornaby, etc.). The former Hart Station is seen in the far right of the picture. A short distance behind the camera is the site of the junction with the former line towards Sunderland (via Castle Eden, Shotton, South Hetton, etc.) and Ferryhill (via Castle Eden, Trimdon Grange etc.). Taken from the footbridge adjacent to the Hart to Haswell Walkway.
