Description
English: Taken from the GOES-16 (East) satellite, this geocolor image of the Eastern U.S. was taken on January 3, 2022 at 14:30 (UTC) (9:30 AM EST). This image shows an Extratropical cyclone along the border of North Carolina and South Carolina moving towards the Mid-Atlantic states, this winter storm would eventually drop 1 foot (30.48 cm) of snow in some parts of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland and cause a traffic jam along Interstate 95 (I-95) in Virginia.
