Description
English: Possibly photographed at Nagasaki, Japan, 1884. He was Naval Attache to the Kingdom of Korea in 1884-1887. This image was used as the frontispiece of Harold J. Noble's 1931 Ph.D. dissertation "Korea and Her Relations with the United States", in the library of the University of California at Berkeley.
