File:F.C. Lund - Den hollandske flåde under admiral Opdam passerer Sundet d. 29. oktober 1658 under Svenskekrigen 1657-60 - KMS1058 - Statens Museum for Kunst.jpg
This painting depicts the opening phase of the Battle of the Sound. The fleet pressed past Kronborg Castle, occupied by the Swedes, and king Carl X Gustav (in the centre) could only watch, because the ships kept close to the opposite side of the entrance to the Sound - out of reach of the guns of Kronborg. After entering the Sound, the Dutch fleet was met by a slightly larger Swedish fleet, but fought its way through to relieve the Danish capital of Copenhagen.
