«Прямоугольное красное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, несущее вдоль верхнего правого края горизонтальные волнистые ленты синего и белого цветов, в нижнем левом углу аналогичные ленты синего и белого цветов и посередине фигура герба района». «Герб представляет собой червлёный (красный) щит. В левой части щита, на фоне стилизованного изображения граней верстового столба лев, в правой лапе держащий лопату (обращённую косвенно вверх и влево), а в левой — серп. В центральной части золотое изображение колоса с чёрным обрамлением на фоне изображения ели. В нижней части стилизованный русский орнамент по красному полю».
